Congratulations on finishing your manuscript, short story, novella, or blog post.
You worked hard on your writing project, and now you need to make sure it’s clean and spotless before sending it out into the world. After all, nobody wants to sit on a dirty couch or a dusty chair, just like nobody wants to read something that’s filled with errors. That’s where I come in—your editor. I will polish your project and help you make it shine.
All good writers understand the importance of hiring an editor who knows how to carefully comb for mistakes while maintaining the author’s voice. My keen editing skills and meticulous attention to detail will ensure that your final copy is top-notch and professional.
Copy editing focuses on the technical issues in your writing, addressing and revising style inconsistencies and transitions, as well as checking for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage, repetition, and sentence structure.
This is the final sweep and the last step before publishing. Proofreading is checking for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, spacing, typos, capitalization, and minor text and formatting issues.
Unless otherwise requested, I refer to The Chicago Manual of Style and The Merriam-Webster Dictionary. All documents are edited in Microsoft Word with Track Changes.
Are you ready to take the next step?
To further discuss your editing needs, please contact me. Please include a brief description of your project and the word count. I will respond within 48 hours with an approximate deadline and estimated fee.
If a rush order is requested, additional charges will incur.
